Alternative Energy Sources

Alternative Energy refers to the energy derived from renewable energy sources that do not use up the earth's conventional energy sources (such as fossil fuels) or cause any negative impact on the environment; these renewable energy sources from which alternative energy is obtained are referred to as Alternative Energy Sources.

Alternative sources of energy have many benefits over the conventional fuels and are thus preferred over fossil fuels. The basic reasons why alternative energy sources are preferred over traditional fuels are as follows:

Alternative Sources of Energy are renewable:

Alternative sources of energy are renewable sources of energy that do not deplete with use and for this reason, they are also referred to as renewable energy sources; there is no question of shortage in this type of energy sources, whereas traditional energy sources are non-renewable and thus diminish with use.

Alternative Sources of Energy are Eco-friendly:

The Alternative Energy sources are completely eco-friendly in every way and do not cause any type of harm to the environment at any stage. These sources do not release any harmful exhaust, especially carbon, at any point of harnessing. Moreover the generators of this type are absolutely noise free; even the noisiest generators of this type would produce only a low, soft hum. On the contrary, the conventional fuels release detrimental substances into the environment and the generators also produce a lot of noise.

Uk visitors can do far worse than go here to buy monthly car insurance or temporary car insurance (between 1 and 28 days).

Alternative Sources of Energy are available in abundance and are free from costs:

The Alternative sources of energy are also available in abundance unlike the scarce fossil fuels. Even if the whole world harnessed power from alternative sources of energy, there would be no shortage of energy sources. Moreover the renewable energy sources are also available absolutely free of charge whereas the traditional fuels are highly expensive.

The Conventional fuel reserves are diminishing rapidly posing great threat of fuel shortage or, worse, complete energy dry up, in the future. The only way to overcome this problem is by harnessing power from alternative energy sources. Thus alternative energy sources hold the key to our future energy needs and are highly crucial for survival!

There are numerous forms of alternative energy sources that can be categorized broadly under seven classes, namely:

1. Hydroelectric Power
2. Wind Energy
3. Solar Energy
4. Biofuels
5. Natural Gas
6. Hydrogen
7. Nuclear Energy
